THE SOUND OF STARTING OVER

Starting over rarely sounds like a grand announcement. It’s not trumpets or fireworks. It’s quieter than that. It’s the soft click of a door unlocking. The first page turning in a new notebook. The kettle boiling for the first cup of tea after you’ve decided to try again. We think fresh starts require big moves, but most of them begin with something small, a single decision to move forward, one breath at a time. So if today feels uncertain, if you’re standing at the edge of something new, don’t wait for the perfect moment. The perfect sound. Just listen closely. Starting over might already be happening. THE DAY THAT WAITED FOR YOU

Some days feel impatient, full of alarms, deadlines, and lists that chase you from the moment you wake. But today feels different. It’s not rushing you. It’s waiting. The light came in slowly through the curtains. The air feels softer than usual. Even the world outside seems to be moving at half-speed, as if it knows you need a moment before you begin. Maybe that’s the gift of today, a reminder that not every day demands you to sprint. Some days simply open their hands and say, I’ll be here when you’re ready. So take your time. Sip your coffee a little slower. Step into the day when your heart says yes. It will still be here, waiting. ___Mariam Shosanwo

THE WEIGHT OF QUIET

Some silences feel heavy. They press against your chest, fill the room, and make you wonder if you should speak just to break them. Other silences feel light. Like a warm blanket, like a pause between laughs, like a breath that finally comes easy. We forget sometimes that quiet isn’t empty — it’s full. Full of the things we haven’t said yet. Full of the things we’re still learning to understand. Full of rest we didn’t know we needed. Today, let the quiet be what it is. Don’t rush to fill it. Listen to what it’s trying to tell you. Because sometimes, the quiet is where we finally hear ourselves again. With love  ___Mariam Shosanwo

THE SKY YOU ALMOST MISSED

This morning, the sky was painted in soft gold and quiet lavender. It wasn’t dramatic, no fiery reds, no storm clouds, just gentle, like it was whispering instead of shouting. Most people didn’t notice. They were scrolling through their phones, rushing to work, thinking about the day ahead. And for a moment, I almost missed it too. But then I looked up. And the whole world felt lighter. It made me wonder: how many beautiful things do we miss because we’re too busy searching for something bigger? How many gentle moments pass by unnoticed because we expect beauty to arrive with trumpets and applause? Today, I hope you look up. Not just at the sky, but at the people, the moments, the small wonders right in front of you. Because sometimes, the most beautiful things don’t demand your attention. They just hope you’ll notice. ___Mariam Shosanwo

THE SPACE BETWEEN HEARTBEATS

Life doesn’t just happen in the big moments. It unfolds in the spaces between them. Between the inhale and the exhale. Between the text you send and the reply you wait for. Between one chapter ending and the next beginning. We rush so often to the next thing, forgetting that the pause is part of the rhythm. That without silence, music is just noise. That without stillness, motion loses meaning. Today, take notice of your in-betweens. The quiet sip of tea before the day demands you. The glance out the window before you return to your work. The breath you didn’t realize you were holding Life is not just the beats. It’s the space between heartbeats. ___Mariam Shosanwo

NOTES FROM AN UNFINISHED PAGE

You don’t have to have it all figured out. Sometimes, life feels like a half-written sentence  no punctuation, no clarity, just motion. And that’s okay. You are not behind. You are not late. You are not broken for needing more time. We live in a world obsessed with destinations. But real living happens in the in-between, in the scribbles, the crossed-out lines, the reworded hopes. So if today you feel messy, uncertain, or undone remember, you are still mid-sentence. Still unfolding. Still worthy of grace. Let this be your reminder: You are allowed to be a work in progress. A QUIET KIND OF COURAGE

Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, it’s the quiet decision to try again. To get out of bed when everything feels heavy. To speak up, even if your voice shakes. To forgive yourself for yesterday. We think bravery has to look big, leaps, declarations, spotlight moments. But some of the bravest things you’ll ever do will go unnoticed by the world. And that doesn’t make them any less real. So if today you choose to keep going, even gently, even slowly, you’re practicing a quiet kind of courage. And that counts. It always counts. With love  ___Mariam Shosanwo
